A) General

• To monitor and control the work as per the quality management system and identify issues in aluminum installation and immediately coordinate with Project Management Team & Quality department for corrective action before glass fixing.
• To plan and execute the Aluminum works as per the required resources and schedule provided by the Project Manager.
• To guide the Site Foremen, Charge Hand and Aluminum Fitters to carried out the job as per the specifications and shop drawings approved by the Consultant.
• To inspect the Aluminum & Glazing works carried out by the manpower before issuing the inspection request to client / consultant in order to minimize any rejection on account of quality.
• To follow the organization’s safety procedures and instructions to promote, create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment.
• To follow ISO procedures and ensure to maintain the same.
• To provide details /quantity of executed works to Project Manager every month in order to raise the monthly invoice.

•Job holder to work at the construction sites and the site office.
•Job holder needs to visit the Factory /processing unit at regular intervals to ensure smooth flow of the processed material.

• Contractors – Through projects manager. Frequently as per the requirement.
•Clients – Frequently for seeking approvals & decisions on advice imparted through the projects managers.
•Other Department Heads – Intermittently on o/s matters arising out of projects.

Responsibility
•The problem solving is highly complex in nature, as each project has its own characteristics. The requirement of the client varies with quality of items available, time delayed due to procurement from external sources, and labor problem.

Senior Project Manager -Dredging & Reclaimation - Qatar

Job Summary:
Direct responsibility for leading the delivery of all dredging and reclamation works. Responsible for managing and coordinating inputs from, and outputs to, project support functions (e.g. technical, procurement, program reporting, program control functions) and for managing major Contractor interfaces. Reports directly to the Program Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the dredging and reclamation works (approx $2Bn) on the New Port Project. Build, manage and develop a core dredging and reclamation works PM team. Be an active member of the project leadership team that will coordinate overall project delivery strategy and implementation. Set, manage and control delivery of all dredging and reclamation objectives – including scope, quality, budgets, schedules, stakeholder interfaces, communication/reporting, environmental, EH&S. Establish and maintain effective communication with the Program Manager and key internal support function managers (technical, commercial, procurement, communications, HR etc.). Participate in the management of external interfaces with key stakeholders including the Client, the Design and Environmental Consultants, future port operators, major Suppliers, Contractors, key Qatar Government agencies, etc. Build team competence by conducting regular review sessions, identifying training needs and providing day to day guidance. Continuously look for better ways to deliver the project and meet contractual and commercial objectives. Build bridges within the company family. Utilise knowledge, persuasion and negotiations kills to resolve critical issues. Work closely with an integration team to deliver a world class project to enhance regional and global reputation. Use extensive dredging and reclamation experience to pro-actively predict and prevent problems before they arise.

Qualifications:
Formal degree in engineering or related professional field.
