KOMAK are currently working with an international multi-disciplinary contractor based in DUBAI and working on mechanical and electrical packages worth many tens of millions of pounds. The client has decades of experience in the Middle East and is considered one of the leading contractors in the region.

THE ROLE AND THE PERSON:

Our client is currently working on a secure development in Dubai. As part of this new build work they are also responsible for a large amount of the mechanical and electrical packages.

As such KOMAK have been asked to source mechanical and electrical quantity surveyors to be part of a team of surveyors reporting to the commercial director and occasionally the commercial director. As a mechanical and electrical quantity surveyor you will have demonstrable experience in the UK or some in the Middle East although the latter isn't a necessity.

Who They are Looking for?

The Quantity Surveyor / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will be able to demonstrate a sound background with a large scale developers or contractors. You will ideally have worked in the Middle East before, but this is not essential.

Quantity sueveyor - Oman

A large multi-disciplinary cost and project management consultancy in the United Arab Emirates for the last 10+ years undertaking large scale projects that include high rise residential and commercial towers, high end property and public buildings is looking for a quantity surveyor or senior quantity surveyor to work on a project in Oman with regular travel to Dubai. The work is currently worth in excess of £250m. It involves high rise buildings. The buildings will incorporate residential, commercial and retail sections.

As a result they are looking for a quantity surveyor with strong cost management skills to take on this position. Based in Oman you will be in close contact with the client and will be out on site for some of the time too.

You will have a degree in a related discipline. If you have never worked abroad before you will have 8 years experience. If you have experience internationally you will need 5 years experience. Any experience in the U.A.E. will be looked upon very favorable but won't be a necessity.

You will have worked on commercial, retail or residential work before. High rise experience is a definite advantage but again not a necessity.
