Remal IT is seeking a Software Development Project Manager to manage
and oversee our software development team, playing a key role in
staffing and performance management decisions as well as
project-specific staffing. This role will include assuming
software development responsibilities as needed, particularly in
the areas of developing reference implementations and overall
management.
The ideal applicant will be self-directed
with good planning skills and the ability to drive software
standards and development at the department level. The ability to
coordinate resources among several areas and work well with
others is a must.
Responsibilities and duties include
the following:
* Lead software development team
* Manage development staff to ensure direct reports’
success
* Establish core technologies and create
processes to re-evaluate on an ongoing basis as technology and
business demands dictate
* Establish and maintain best
practice standards
* Create group-specific and
intra-company communication standards, facilitating communication
from the development group to key stakeholders on an ongoing
basis
* Communicate all efforts to upper management and
be the development representative at business development and
project management meetings, ensuring development staff and
management are briefed as appropriate
Skills
Requirements and Qualifications:
* A degree in
computer science or certification in a software development
technology
* Must have technical experience with Symbian
SDK and SIP/VoIP
* Must have project management
experience, working with and leading teams
* Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
* Practical
knowledge of and work experience with most aspects of the systems
software process, operating system utilities, programming
languages, performance analysis software, web,
etc.
