Brewer Consulting is a highly reputable, niche consultancy providing a range of services including commercial management / contractual advice, claims management and dispute resolution within the engineering & construction industries. We have well established offices in the UK, and an expanding operation in the UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi), with a team of well respected & talented professionals.


They currently have opportunities in both Dubai & Abu Dhabi, for senior commercial managers / senior claims consultants, from quantity surveying or engineering backgrounds, to join our team of highly motivated and dynamic claims consultants. The role will involve contributing to a range of projects carried out in the UAE, undertaking commercial management or providing claims/dispute services to our clients. This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic and committed individual with a desire to learn and to develop the experience already gained in this field. Good analytical, written and oral communication skills are key skills required for all our claims consultants.

Responsibilities

* Undertake a range of commissions – claims / dispute resolution / commercial management
* Take responsibility for driving them to a successful completion
* Provide a timely and high quality service to clients that is proportionate to the issues to be resolved or service to be delivered
* Take responsibility for providing high quality written reports and advice
* Manage the input of others necessary to complete the task
* Keep the client informed about progress and prepare a monthly client report


Candidate requirements

* A good first degree in engineering, construction or quantity surveying
* A recognised construction professional qualification in quantity surveying, engineering or building, eg. MRICS
* A sound knowledge of construction and contract law
* Hands on experience in dealing with commercial aspects of the construction process
* Experience of claims preparation and dispute resolution
