Job Description: A leading 5 Star deluxe International Hotel Chain is looking for two Restaurant Managers with opening experience to join their team in the Maldives.
European or North American for Western Fine Dining Restaurant
Middle Eastern or Asian for Multi-Cuisine Restaurant (Asian, Arabic and Indian Style)

The Restaurant Manager’s Responsibilities
Responsible for the efficient and consistent operation of the Western Fine Dining restaurant/Multi-Cuisine restaurant (Asian, Arabic and Indian) with regard to the service of food and beverage as well as for the financial performance of the restaurant including revenue generating and loss prevention to include but not be limited to breakages of equipment, Ensure that all guests are having a positive dining experience at all times and take any corrective actions for negative comments with appropriate follow up. All aspects of the interior and exterior of the restaurant including cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, fixtures and fittings. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maintain a safe and content work environment by following all standards and directives. Promotes the desired work culture around the core values of the Chain and the Property.

Duties & Tasks include
Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements. Forecast staff, equipment, and supply requirements. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Maintain and develop the outlet’s / resort’s overall wine selection. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and firing staff, consulting with other managers as necessary. Resolve customer complaints regarding food and beverage service. Train workers in food and beverage service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. Collaborate with other personnel in order to plan menus, serving arrangements, and related details. Control inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, and report shortages to designated personnel. Develop outlet objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and arrange for repairs. Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements. Evaluate new products for usefulness and suitability. Greet and seat guests, and present menus and wine lists. Perform serving duties. Present bills and accept payments. Schedule parties and take reservations. Supervise and check the assembly of regular and special dietary requirement meals.

Skills Required: The Right Candidate has
prior experience as assistant restaurant manager or restaurant manager within the hospitality industry for at least 2 years. Leading hotels, Relais & Châteaux background desirable; Prior experience of having worked in a pre-opening project of a Five-star deluxe hotel/resort. Opening project in an island scenario desirable; Hotel school education is a plus; Extensive wine and beverage knowledge is required; Experience in multi-cuisine establishments is essential, with knowledge of Western Fine Dining/Asian, Arabic and Indian service styles crucial. Must be computer literate and English fluency is a must. Second European or Asian language is desirable; Microsoft Office and knowledge of POS systems is essential; Must be able to work in a safe and organized manner; Physically fit, motivated and willing to develop and grow with the company.

Traveling Single Status, Age range 25-35 preferred
