Senior Project Manager (High Rise) - Dubai

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will handle the entire development of a Megahigh riseproject in Dubai. With a team of project managers reporting to you, your chief responsibility will be the crucial task of ensuring growth in this sector for the company. Your duties cover all activities from planning, strategizing, tendering, business development to execution and completion of the projects. Your major focus will be ensuring quality and standard of projects delivered, as per client's expectations.

You should be....
At least 10-15 years experience in Project Management forhigh-rise projects(Middle East experience preferred). Familiarity with regulations and policies of local authorities and an established network within, will be an advantage. Good presentation and effective communication skills.

The Position

Assist in managing the restaurant by providing leadership, overall supervision control in order to exceed the guests expectations while operating to the established budgets for revenue, cost and marketing goals. This will be achieved by constant interaction with both guest and waiting staff.

Job Accountabilities Linked To Objective Areas

1. Assist in the planning and preparation of staff duty rotas and holiday planning, organises shifts to ensure appropriate staffing at all times; including the organising the daily work distribution in the restaurant and strict management of Over Time.
2. Assist in supervising the service of food & beverage and all mise & place and initiating of requisitions for operational supplies and repairs & maintenance work orders.
3. Attend the daily F&B briefing and weekly team briefing in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. This will be followed up by holding of briefings before each shift with the Outlet Manager and weekly team briefings with all his staff. And assures that all staff is informed about new procedures, special events in the hotel, daily functions, receives staff feedback to ensure a well functioning quality circle.
4. Ensure all staff are correctly groomed and in complete uniform for the required shift. This is to include all necessary waiters tools, order pads and relevant items are available to effectively and efficiently execute a seamless shift.
5. Liaise directly with the kitchen for the daily menu specials and out of stock items; This includes liaising with the Bar and Wine Stewards for out of stock beverages and wines, thereafter briefing staff on the same.
6. Maintain frequent contact with regular guests and potential guests thereby building good relationships and customer loyalty. This will be achieved by anticipating guests needs, ensuring waiters are proactive and attentive and service orientated at all times.
7. Ensure that all restaurant furniture, fixtures and fitting are fully functional and undamaged, reporting/removing any items that may adversely effect the guest satisfaction and or comfort or prohibit the staff carrying out their duties effectively.
8. Ensure that all service procedures are carried out to the 'best practices' towards Health, Fire and Safety and HACCP standards at all times.
9. Completing the daily restaurant log book, at the end of each shift, noting all out of stock items, guest comments, complaints and compliments as well as guest recommendations; This will include a shift summary to both the Restaurant Manager and the F&B Manager.
10. Schedule and provide leadership and training on a regular basis to ensure that all staff achieve the best possible service standards in all aspects of the shift and service period. Staff not achieving the standards must be placed on a training and development plan in order to meet the requirements of the role.

Experience and Qualifications

1. 'O' level education with a minimum of 6 yrs F&B experience in a 5-Star Hotel or recognised quality restaurant position. OR 'A' level education with a minimum of 4 year F&B experience in a 5 star hotel.
2. A good knowledge of food service styles and techniques, menu preparation and specialised food orders of service is required, a good knowledge of all hard liquor, wines, mixes/cocktails.
3. Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English, with other guest-based languages an advantage and should be self organised and punctual with a well groomed appearance and professional attitude.
4. Must be at ease at making critical last minute decisions in the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor regarding any service issues.
5. Must be at ease working within a multi-cultural environment and should have mutual respect both in the working and living environment for other co-workers.
6. The job commands a high level of adaptability and change that need to be dealt with easily, concerning both work and social environment.
7. Must also have a working knowledge of activities and services offered by other departments with the resort operation.
